On the occasion of the third Day for the Protection of the Alps, we are showing the powerful documentary REQUIEM IN WHITE in cooperation with the Bürgerinitiative Feldring – with director Harry Putz in attendance.

The film highlights the dramatic effects of climate change on the glaciers of the Eastern Alps. As the “eternal ice” melts away relentlessly, tourism is booming: ski operations are in full swing, and interventions in nature are becoming increasingly extreme – slope stabilizations, glacier covers, snow depots, snow-making systems, massive terrain reshaping – a race against time, captured with haunting clarity.

A film that moves you – and a discussion that goes beyond

Following the special screening, experts from science, conservation, tourism, and politics will join a panel discussion. Under the title “Selling out the mountains – and possible alternatives”, we will reflect together: on what’s going wrong – and what we can do better.

Afterwards, the conversation continues – out of the cinema and into real dialogue.
Together with Bürgerinitiative Feldring, we invite you to a relaxed evening at the Patagonia Store Innsbruck.

There you'll find live music, good conversations, snacks, drinks – and people who want to make a difference.
An opportunity to connect, get inspired – and maybe take the first step to becoming active yourself.
