Mark your calendars for May 3rd, 2024, and join us for the "Day for the Protection of the Alps". Initiated by Feldring, Protect Our Winters Austria (POW), and #aufstehn, this day has become a crucial part of the Protect Alpine Nature (PAN) network's annual efforts.

Each year, PAN members and partner organizations orchestrate impactful actions and events to enhance awareness, stimulate dialogue, and spearhead conservation efforts across the Alpine region.

Why This Day Matters

The Alps are not only breathtaking natural wonders but also regions rich in ecological diversity, hosting fragile ecosystems and some of the last expanses of wilderness in the heart of Europe. Facing threats from climate change, environmental degradation, and overuse, it is imperative to act now to preserve these landscapes for future generations.

This dedicated day helps to bring international attention to the challenges the Alps face and unites efforts across borders to promote sustainable management and protection.

"We are convinced that the preservation of undisturbed natural landscapes and the promotion of biodiversity are an important part of climate action." – Christina Stahl, POW Austria
